Halloween festivities

The month of October started off with
Halloween Decor....
...and my favorite thing ever.
Pomegranates
sure they are a pain in the butt to dismantle,
but there is something about the way those
little red things burst in your mouth.
YUM
We had a lot of fun going to Thanksgiving Point's
haunted corn maze and the regular corn maze.
It was really muddy....
It was pretty nice to feel a few inches taller
That whole being taller thing didn't last though....

Oh yea... and I've never seen so many
pumpkins!
Just before Halloween our family got together to carve pumpkins.
Those kids sure do look happy.
The kids liked the sunset too
As it progressed I caught the sky looking like this
I love sunsets, I think they are amazing.

we are so thankful for our family and friends!
We hope everyone had a great fall...now it's just really COLD

We went on a picnic and a fall drive with the birthday guy.
It was beautiful!!!

Happy Birthday Dad!
Hope you had fun.

Gathering for G

We had a family gathering with delicious homemade pizza and a cute little boy.

Happy Birthday G!
(I love that you wanted a picture of you with Thomas...)
(...and that you wanted to see more pictures on my camera so we took another one)
Love you!

Utah State Fair

My mom says she use to take us to the state fair when I was little
but I don't remember a thing.
We went this year so I could see what it was like.
All I can say is that the funnel cakes are delicious...
and Boys II Men were very entertaining.

3 Lakes Hike

We went on a hike to Lake Mary, Martha and Catherine with our good friends
At the top we found a raft.
Colton and Sterling went rafting
Sterling got stuck on an island.
Colton rescued him after leaving him there for a minute.
The end.

Todd's birthday

My big brother turned 28 in August.
I'm a little late but here he is....
Love you Todd!

The littles got a practice run at blowing out the candles.

These two kiddos turned 3 in September!
Love you G and K!!

Reunion!

I thought I would start you off with the cutest little boy ever!
Anyway...we had 4 family reunions this year just on my side.
This is the preview of the Whiteley reunion.
My great aunt always does such an amazing job planning our reunion every year.
She always thinks of a creative theme and always plans such fun activities.
I am so glad that she takes the time to gather the family every year.

This is My brother and his wife.
(I don't know why Teag always has to ruin the picture...hehe)

My cousin came from out of town to attend the reunion. It was great to see him and his wife.
(My brother Tyson, his wife Lori and my cousin Bryan, his wife Larissa)
Sterling, Todd and Teag looking at Todd's cool phone
We had the reunion at newly developed camp site a little past Heber. It was very nice. There was a lake with canoeing a zip line and a large building to gather with a huge kitchen and nice bathrooms. They also had a large screen up to do our family history work which was pretty neat.
Later in the day we had a magic show by Maximilian the magician.
(My cousin's son)
It was so fun to see him get up and show his little personality.
He has always been such a funny kid that thinks up the funniest things,
so it was fun to see him up entertaining everyone.
He did a great job with all of his tricks

We had a great time and it was a lot of fun to see the family.

Hike

On July 24 we went on a hike with our good friends Kia and Sam
We started out thinking it was about 3 miles up and 3 miles back.
We found out it was 3 miles from the trailhead which was 1 mile from the parking area.
We ended up with an 8 mile hike. It was definately worth it.

We had a lot of fun hiking with the Hohaias.
Thanks guys
