How I miss these faces

I can't believe it was about two years ago that I was over there in Spain on vacation taking care of these sweet girls.

I am a penguin

It all started last monday. I was feeling a bit tender down in that one area between my legs. I didn't think much of it, but by friday it didn't seem quite right. Sterling and I did some research on it and we thought it was a Bartholin gland cyst. We decided I probably should go see a doctor because it seemed to be getting worse. So we started calling gynocologists that would take our insurance. It was ridiculous! Every doctor we called was booked until September and I had a ping pong ball down between my legs. I finally called our insurance and they were able to get me in somewhere. So we go to this place and it turns out the insurance lady had sent me to a nurse practitioner. The nurse checks it out and her words were. "Oh you need to get that fixed." thank you I could have figured that out. She gave me some anibiotics and was out of there. After a bunch of hulabaloo with the insurance company, they finally found me someone that could ACTUALLY help me. So I went in today and It definately was what we thought it was. My Bartholin gland. Doctor England was really great.(He did his residency in Detroit so sterling had a lot to talk to him about since he went on his mission there)So anyway, the doctor explained what the Bartholin gland is and how it got that way. Apparently the cyst is really common in women 20-29 that have never been pregnant. There isn't much you can do to prevent it, it just happens. So the doctor ended up draining it and he put a catheter in. Sterling thought it was awesome to watch. I didn't think it was so awesome to feel. It's over though and now I'm waddling like a penguin.

visitors

We had some fun little visitors at our house this weekend. Our nieces and nephew came over for awhile. We went to the park for awhile then came home and did some bubble blowin. The girls had to see how many they could pop. Here are the girls waiting for the bubbles to come. Also, my brother just got a new lab puppy. Everyone loved holding her.

Our ONE year Anniversary

Our anniversary was on June 27. I can't believe we've been married a year already. It seems like it's gone by so fast. Yet we both decided we have learned A LOT since we were first married. It's been a great year and we are excited for all the years to come. I love you Sterling!

We celebrated by going down to St George for the weekend. We had a lot of fun just relaxing. We also went and visited the St george temple. The visitors center had this really cool bronze statue exhibit. They were really cool. http://www.sgvisitorcenter.com/
this is us at the visitors center

We also met up with some people from Sterlings mission. We went to lunch with Earl and Louise Thomas (aka grandpa and grandpa Thomas) a senior couple from the mission. The next day we went to breakfast with Sterling's old mission companion. Cody King.

The new King babyOn Saturday night we went to Le miserable at the Tuacahn outdoor ampitheater. It was really good. Thanks Hub

On sunday we were invited over for dinner at the Southwick home. This family is so awesome! We felt like family the minute we walked through the door. This family lived in Detroit when Sterling served there. It was nice to meet some of the people he had been talking about. What a cute family. Thanks Southwhick family it was fun and dinner was yum!

Too much fun for one day

We had a lot going on today. I woke up this morning and started my first cake made with fondant. My friend I grew up with was having a birthday party, so I decided to make her a cake. I think it turned out pretty well for my first time. I just found a recipe off line and did it.

It was a little bit bumpy in some areas, but I'm learningWe also have my brother's dogs over for the weekend. They are so cute!I call this one my little ewok.

Also a girl I grew up with got married. 6/7/08. Cool day to get married. Her reception was at this house. Amazing!Look at the waterfall. It was so beautiful
Me and Sterling in their front yard After the reception we went to Rylee's birthday bash. Sterling saw a guy that was from his mission there and it was fun for me to see some people from highschool.

The day was crazy. We also went vacuum shopping and our next door neighbor got baptized.
